I see the users who get annoyed with an artist who releases multiple batches of a CW.
Have you ever thought how you, the artist would feel when you have fifty or sixty people who still want that item, but you feel you have to say no, because someone who already owns it, wants you to keep it…I was really hoping to get some good feedback on this submission, as I am the one who submitted it, and I am a user who releases Custom Wears. I must admit that I am NOT the artist, as I can’t draw to Subetas standards. But I do have a few items out there, and one of them did have 7 or 8 batches released. I didn’t raise my prices at all, everyone paid the same amount. And though I see a few of them in trades once in a while, they in NO WAY devalued.
I made a lot of happy people, but I also got a few slaps in the face from people who didn’t like the fact that I let go of so many. As far as Im concerned, if you don’t like it, DONT BUY IT. Im sure there is someone else who would love to have your slot.

On one hand you have a group of users (both artists AND buyers) who want their item to be a special “limited edition” thing. For them, part of the appeal of their CW is that it’s nearly unique and very exclusive.
On the other hand you have artists and buyers who don’t care about the rarity of their item so long as it maintains it’s value, and wouldn’t mind seeing a thousand of the item released if it meant making a bunch of people happy.
I think it’s possible to please both groups. You just have to be open about how many copies of the item you’re going to make before people start committing themselves to buying it. And, if you’re releasing multiple items, why not have some be limited to a batch or two and others be unlimited?
